The Truth About The Holidays That No One Really Talks About

The Truth About The Holidays That No One Really Talks About

The Christmas season is now in full swing, and there’s always much that gives us cause to feel that “holiday cheer” mentioned in many of our favorite yuletide tunes.

However, for many, this time of year brings with it increased feelings of stress and anxiety: the American Psychological Association once completed a study to measure the increase of stress that takes place and discovered that as much as 38% of participants reported feeling more pressure when trying to juggle everyday activities with the shopping, decorating, cooking, and entertaining that comes with all the festivities.

Holly had the privilege to volunteer for TBCAC by hosting their display at Festival of Trees

In the hopes of bringing hope and happiness to all those perhaps feeling overtaxed with all your holiday to-dos, we recommend the following activities:

  • Choose experiences: Rather than trudging through the snowy streets to find the perfect gifts for your family and friends, why not plan something all of you can do together to make traditions and lifelong memories. Perhaps you could attend a performance of The Nutcracker or a live performance of A Christmas Carol.
  • Charity gift-wrapping: If scotch tape and frilly bows aren’t really your forte, consider finding a local charity fundraiser that offers gift wrapping services for donations. You can support a worthy cause while simultaneously crossing an important item of your to-do list.
  • Check out for awhile and do something that makes you happy: Make sure to schedule time for yourself and the things that you enjoy, even if it is just an evening stroll in the crisp Winter air.  Some time away from the hustle and bustle can help reset your focus and renew your spirit.

We want not only you to be blessed this holiday season; we also believe that every child deserves to have a safe and happy Christmas.  That’s why we have made it our mission to support our favorite charity: The Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center!

The Women’s Council of Realtors generously chose to support the TBCAC at its annual holiday luncheon. They gave many needed items, as well as $500, to benefit the efforts of the TBCAC!  Kate is a proud member of the WCR.

We are on a mission this year to raise funds for the

TRAVERSE Bay CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER

The Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center does wonderful work helping children and families who are living through the tragedy of abuse. That is why we decided to donate a portion of our income from selling homes to support their mission of helping the children in our region!

And this is where YOU come in:

YOUR REFERRALS HELP THE KIDS…

Whom do you know that’s considering buying or selling a home you could refer to my real estate sales team?

Not only will they benefit from our award-winning service, but we donate a portion of our income from every home sale to the Traverse Bay Children’s Advocacy Center.

We want to make it easy to refer your friends, neighbors, associates or family members considering making a move, so here are your options:

If you know someone who is looking to buy or sell a home, you can go to www.reichardandhack.com/contact and enter their contact info in the space provided, or forward the link to whomever you know that’s considering a move.

Of course, you can always call us directly, as well, at 231-492-0072.
